Research is at the core of everything we do at Quinine. Understanding the world around us through a variety of lenses, using multiple design research techniques, helps us formulate effective strategies and uncover the insights that nobody is telling you, but you need to know. We always like to share research and observations to encourage conversations.

The Quinine team has been out and about, looking at stores­ through the lens of the customer. We’ve visited and reviewed a range of high street retailers from tech and telco to activewear, beauty and department stores, capturing the many and varied interventions they’ve put in place to keep their staff and customers safe, whilst visiting their stores during the pandemic.

With the rush to put things in place, our first report identifies a tactical approach, as retailers are challenged with finding new ways to offer customers a safe and on brand in-store experience and alternative ways to access their brand.
