Quinine's Festive Gathering
The Quinine team headed to Windsor for our Christmas social this year. We hired a minibus and set off on an ice-cold morning, ready to take on the narrow, windy side roads for a day away from the London buzz.
Our first stop was lunch at The Hind’s Head in Bray. A three-course meal served in the Vicar’s private dining room, which really captured the character of this historic setting… think low hanging chandeliers, a long oak table and candlesticks (but thankfully not a Hind’s head!)
We exchanged our Secret Santa gifts and got to guessing. Clues included questionable wrapping techniques, suspicious-looking sideway glances and lots of giggles.
Back on the road, we headed to Windsor Great Park to visit the annual Windsor Illuminated light show. Following a light trail around the woodland, we came across luminous beacons, dancing fairies and glimmering fountains. A few mulled wine pit stops later, we had the chance to get competitive and toast some marshmallows over the fire whilst singing (and reluctantly swaying) along to the ultimate Christmas playlists, which of course included none other than Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé.
Fair to say a successful, laughter-filled festive day from start to finish. We’re looking forward to our next adventure!
